WKTV Report on Domestic Cyber Terrorist

STD Carriers Disease Control and Prevention Services said they are looking for a cyber terrorist known as Mike Bascaino in the Poughkeepsie area.

Basciano is believed to have accessed the computer systems of the International Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Carrier Registry over 100 times for the purpose of engaging in unauthorized disruptive activities to inflict harm on a group of individuals by means of harassment and defamation of character with a reckless disregard for the STD Carriers Early Warning Alert System for Venereal Disease Control.

The offense took place on a Genital Herpes report created by a registered member in good standing after someone claiming to be the subject of the report sent the website multiple threats followed by an offer of bribery in failed attempts to get the report removed and obtain information about the author.

Bascaino joined STD Carriers sometime afterward under the user name "Dipset_All_Day" before posting more than 90 comments. Among these comments were names, addresses, and phone numbers belonging to the immediate family of the subject and a false accusation that the subject was a "convicted rapist".

STD Carriers investigated the "convicted rapist" accusation with a check of the National Sex Offender Registry followed by a demand that Bascaino explain the lack of the subject's name in the registry. Bascaino responded with a poor explanation that amounted to a confession of guilt.

Mike Bascaino is now the first named cyber terrorist target listed in the "Evil Doers Section" of the website reserved for people who have violated the website's Terms of Use Agreement.

The computer he used to commit his terrorist acts is registered to a residential Verizon customer in Poughkeepsie, New York where Bascaino is known to reside. Bascaino claims to be a co-founder and former owner of a website called "Internet Ownage" where an article was recently published containing contact information about the family of the victim that is identical to what was posted on STD Carriers.
