In a case that Williams nicknamed "Financial Attraction" he was sued for $6.2 million by his former girlfriend Michelle Tish Carter. Williams hooked up with Carter while he was performing at the comedy club where she was a waitress. The case was settled in 1992 for an undisclosed amount.
Other:
According to the New York Times most of Robin's defense centered around Carter's history of promiscuous sexual behavior saying she had been with several other men during their relationship. Her lawyer's response was "she only had two isolated sexual incidents with two other famous comedians".
