Barbara Samson is a French poet who was infected with HIV at the age of 17. While staying at a French Clinic for an eating disorder, she met a fellow patient, which she feel in love with. He did not tell her about his HIV-positive status, which Samson contracted.
She now lives and works in France, toured many schools speaking of aids and a published author of the book On n'est pas sérieux quand on a dix-sept ans ("Nobody Is Serious When They're Seventeen").
