Best known for her role as "Pat" the androgynous character from the movie "It's Pat" based on the Saturday Night Live sketch where people could never figure out which gender "it" was. Julia Sweeny was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 1995. A condition caused by HPV in women putting to rest once and for all what "Pat" was.
Sweeny was a member of Delta Gamma sorority at the University of Washington. Which is located across the street from Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) Fraternity whose members knew the door code and were free to come and go at any time regardless of what chapter they were from (in 2002 anyway). It is not known if Greek Life contributed to her STD status.
