Styx guitarist Chuck Panozzo announced that he had been sailing with the other team back in 2001 when he announced his HIV status and homosexuality. Since outing himself he has been an advocate for gay rights and an active member of the Human Rights Campaign.
Panozzo is best known for his music as part of the 1970's rock band Styx that released several best selling albums. Their most famous song "Come Sail Away" from the Grand Illusion album releases in 1977 was reborn in 1998 with a digitally remastered performance by Eric Cartman on the T.V. Show South Park.
